You might be surprised to learn that often the largest engineering task for any new version of an established product is ensuring compatibility with the constantly changing digital world. Since Parallels Access has components that run on macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Windows, and Android, ensuring its compatibility with Apple, Microsoft, and Google ecosystems is an even larger task than most other products. And, of course, ensuring as much backward compatibility as possible is also required. In recognition of the effort involved, I made a short video showing the newly released Parallels Access 7.0 running in several different systems. (See Video1.)
Parallels 7 supports running OS X Lion as a "guest" operating system under virtualization, meaning you can run a completely separate copy of Lion within your main copy of Lion. In July, we reported that Apple had changed the license agreement in OS X Lion that allowed users to run up to 2 additional copies of Lion on a single machine without the need for extra licenses.iOS app on iPadParallels also released a update to their Universal iOS app that allows you to control your Mac, virtual machines, and all their applications.

Hello, I am using Mojave and parallels desktop 14 now. Desktop 14 is really powerful. I want to upgrade to Catalina and Parallels desktop 15. Should I upgrade the Mac OS first or the Parallels first? Do I need to rebuild the VM again? Thank you!
I am planning to buy a MacBook Pro 16inch and I want to use it for 3ds Max with rendering in VRay. Does parallels support this without dropping performance considering the fact that Auto Desk has completely withdrawn support from the Mac OS.
I'm running visual studio 2010 on Windows 7 through parallels on my mac. I want to be able to access its local host on osx for testing purposes. I really have no idea what steps that I'd have to take to do this, so any help at all would be appreciated.
Snow Leopard, aka Mac OS X 10.6, was released in June 2009, and it represented the last version of macOS to run older PowerPC based software. Its successor, Lion, was released two years later, so back then I wrote a post about how to run Snow Leopard in a virtual machine so you could, at the time, keep on trucking with AppleWorks, QuarkXPress, Quicken, and other apps that did not have Intel versions available.
Every year, Parallels continues to impress me with its ability to add new features to the already feature rich Parallels Desktop for Mac product. Since the time I started my journey with using a Mac and therefore using (at the time) Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac for my Windows virtualisation needs, it was impressive even at the time. And every year without fail, Parallels Desktop just continue to keep getting better, not just from the perspective of having new features but also in improving its performance. And now, Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac has just released available first for existing customer upgrades and soon, for new customers.
